A quiz room is a fixed, walk-in game room where teams battle each other in a TV-style quiz show — with physical buzzer desks, a central quiz screen, show lighting, sound effects and a host that guides the show. Think of it as the game show answer to the escape room: instead of solving one puzzle scenario, groups compete in rounds, scores update live, and every visit can be a different themed edition.
In the UK and Europe the concept is usually called a quiz room; in the US you will hear game show room, trivia room or game show experience. It is one of the fastest-growing formats in competitive socialising — physical, social, competitive and endlessly repeatable.

A quiz room is a dedicated game room where teams play a TV-style quiz show against each other, using physical buzzer desks, a big quiz screen, show lighting and a (virtual) host. In the US the concept is better known as a game show room or trivia room. Unlike an escape room, sessions are competitive head-to-head shows and the room resets itself instantly — no game master needed.
How is a quiz room different from an escape room?+
An escape room is a one-team puzzle experience that needs resets and often staff guidance. A quiz room is show-based: multiple teams compete simultaneously, every session is different thanks to rotating quiz editions, and the QuizX Arena runs fully automated with zero staff. That means higher throughput, repeat visits and better margins per square metre.
How much does a quiz room cost?+
A complete QuizX Arena starts at €19,500 (Starter, 2 desks) up to €55,000+ (Premium, 10+ desks, 40+m², custom content in your own branding). The most popular Standard package is €39,500 with 8 buzzer desks for 24 players in about 30m². On top there is a content & service subscription of €1.75 per player (minimum €295/month).
How much space do I need for a quiz room?+
From 5m² for a Starter setup with two desks against the wall. A full game show arena with 8 desks, central quiz screen and light show needs around 30m². We always create a custom floor plan for your space.
Do I need staff to run it?+
No. The virtual host runs the entire show: rules, questions, scores and reveals. Guests walk in, pick a desk and play. Your team only sells the tickets — there is no game master, no reset time and no extra headcount.
How many players fit in one session?+
From 4 up to 30+ players per session depending on the package — the Standard arena seats 24 players across 8 buzzer desks. Sessions typically run 30–60 minutes, so one room can host hundreds of guests per week.
